AQ Behind the Scenes (BTS) - "Crossing Over"

This shoot brought to you by:

The Four!

BTW (By the way), BTS (above) means "Behind the Scenes" in Becca-Speak on future blogs...just so as ya know!

"Old Friends - Cold Friends!"

Dressing up has been a lifelong thing for us, Halloween is a favorite time of year! Often asked when we're going to stop wearing sparkles and/or body paint...now into our late twenties and mid thirties, we can safely say to those expecting us to grow up --- um... How shall I put this?

"Grow back down again!"

Incidently, that is my daughter's favorite quote from Mama Mia. A movie never resonated with one family (or our Brother from another Mother) so much!

Life's pretty short, we aim to fill ours with love and laughter!

Jen working her rusty fingies below...Amy trying out a new style for mesMer-eyes!

Keeping it in the moment, we intended to do a shoot with Natasha only...then Amy joined in...then Corey Makaloski (requested by Amy as a prop-boy)...the music, make up, costumes...so infectious.

Corey, you are always much more than a prop! The gypsy dark to our scandihooligan light...thanks.

I call the shot of Jen and I "Dreamy Designer Folk"...using antique filters improved a dreary landscape...the gnarly grove where we shot, is in the background --- a great find by Jen, while taking blustery walks to work. A classic example of the nature of the artist's eye...No location left unturned!

A particularly frisky tree goes for Jen's butt as she goes for a fluff (Natasha's gown...)! Yow!!! Or maybe it's a yee-haw!!! When in rodeo country...

My contribution to the madness. A pink shirt, although bright and cheery, did not go with the pallette, so I tried to downplay...I like this shot of the girls and think I might photoshop me out! Okay for candids tho---

Sassin' it Christenson style...Unable to fight Lethbridge wind, we embraced the wildness in the air!

One more tidbit...911 got called to the scene, because two of the trees were on fire while we were there. Try explaining this to firemen in rural AB...When asked if this was for a magazine shoot, we stated "Something like that!".

Never know what might happen in our vortices!

Until the next location...thanks for sharing!
